Job Title: Datacenter Facility - Senior Delivery Engineer
Job Location: Athens, Greece
In this role you will be responsible for the technical execution of Datacenter infrastructure projects, from the initial technical requirements analysis phase through to final testing and acceptance.
Your core mission will be to ensure the correct translation of client needs into detailed engineering solutions, collaborating with the Project Management Office and external suppliers, while guaranteeing compliance with specifications and the quality of the final outcome.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Analysis and Technical Solution Definition
Analyze in detail the functional and technical requirements received from the client or the pre-sales team.
Develop detailed technical specifications (technical design documentation, single-line diagrams, layout drawings, thermal/fluid dynamic schematics)
Verify compatibility between the various datacenter subsystems (Power, Cooling, DCIM, Monitoring, Containment, Security).
2. Technical Planning and Delivery Management
Detail the operational phases of delivery, installation, and integration in accordance with the project plan.
Manage and monitor installation, cabling, configuration, and commissioning activities of the datacenter facility systems.
Coordinate the technical activities of subcontractors, ensuring that execution complies with design standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
3. Technical Support for Procurement
Support the procurement team in defining technical supply requirements and in the comparative evaluation of offers.
Collaborate in the technical validation of materials and components to be purchased.
Coordinate and supervise FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and field commissioning activities.
Prepare the final project documentation (as-built drawings, test reports, acceptance certificates).
4. Technical Management of Client and Partner Relationships
Act as the technical point of reference during the delivery and post-delivery phases, liaising with the client, the Project Manager, and engineering teams.
Provide technical support for change requests, design variations, or in-progress optimizations.
Ensure project compliance with contractual specifications and relevant technical standards.
General Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
Minimum experience of 3-5 years in the technical management of projects within Datacenter Facilities, IT Infrastructures, Technological Systems, or Building Services.
Fluency in both Greek and English (written and spoken)
In-depth knowledge in one of following solutions:
Power Systems: UPS, batteries, distribution panels, continuity systems, and grounding/earthing.
Cooling Systems: Chillers, CRAC/CRAH, free-cooling systems, precision cooling, pumps, and hydraulic circuits.
Racks & Containment: Layout, cable trays, hot/cold aisle solutions.
Technical know-how:
Ability to interpret electrical and thermal schematics, CAD drawings, and complex technical documentation.
Experience in the technical management of suppliers, subcontractors, and on-site acceptance tests.
Good knowledge of key software tools for technical project management (AutoCAD, MS Project, ERP/CRM tools or others).
